The Klever Kid program Program

The Klever Kid program program is about reaching your potential the healthy way.

Klever Kid program is a Health program for children, designed to build a balanced body and mind through Play; to maximise health and learning; and link the growing of food to the growth of a child to wholeness.

Klever Kid program focuses on the whole well being of the students. The Klever Kid program program has been developed to partner the school curriculum and the PDH&PE syllabus and to support the school, teachers and parents in achieving the best outcomes for the students.

The centre of the program is the Edible Garden which sets a strong foundation from which the children can grow. Students experience the development of the life of a plant, and see the importance of nurturing and nourishing life and the environment and this is linked to self and values.

The program is based around play as Play has a profound role in the development of a person, and unites the children with their peer group. Fun and laughter replaces bullying, teasing and shyness and there is a strong emphasis on nutrition because of the relationship between healthy eating and learning.

The Klever Kid program Program focuses on different values each week - Respect, Caring, Truth, Responsibility, Choices, Tolerance, Awareness, Peace and Gratitude and each day includes breathing and relaxation, brain gym. games to build self esteem, conflict resolution, nutrition, handling bullying, overcoming shyness and building peer group support.

The program tackles the problem of obesity in children, as the Federal Government is asking that we all assist in helping children to lose weight, to become fitter and eat healthy foods and schools are being asked to consider programs that will help to do this.

The Klever Kid program program is designed to link with the school curriculum PHDPE and to improve the health and whole well being of all children. The elements of the program are designed for children to eliminate stress, have fun, to enjoy the process of learning and to reach their potential.
